Quotes from the Goo Goo Dolls about Fans For Peace
History of the Fans For Peace Banner

Fans for Peace was founded by Myshele in November 2002, after bassist Robby Takac's request in Poughkeepsie, NY to "do something to stop the war." The group's main focus is to help fans get informed about the issues surrounding war and corporate domination, and to provide a forum for discussion and support. When the Goo Goo Dolls are on tour, we bring peace banners (including the Pink Banner) to concerts and show our support for the band speaking out. When they're not on tour, Fans For Peace are active mainly on our message board and in our home communities, all over the world. By summer 2004, Fans for Peace had over 200 members on the site and message board. The board was hacked in April 2006, but we're slowly rebuilding it.

The website has gone through many changes in its two years of operation. Originally there were a number of interactive elements, contests, and features accessible through the site. These features have been moved to the message board, due to technical difficulties and other obstacles. The remaining prizes that were donated for the site contests were given away over the summer of 2004.

All versions of the site were designed by Myshele, whose personal website is myshelegoldberg.com.
